Promotional Exhibition - May 2022:

21st May 2022, we held an exhibition in Wetherby Town Hall. This event was to promote the upcoming Open Studios. This year the Open Studios will be held in June. For the last two years, we held it in September, due to Covid restrictions changing rather frequently.

Again, quite a quiet day. Not sure people are back, shopping like they used to?? Did get to catch up with some gorgeous friends that I haven't seen for a while. AND, I have a commission!!!! On my goodness, so excited. My new client likes one of my pieces, but would like a much bigger version for her newly decorated dining room.

Open Studios - 18th' 19th' 25th and 26th June 2022:

Woohoo, my third open studio. Still nervous, aaah anxiety. Sometimes good, sometimes a hindrance. Felt very good about this one. Lovely busy on first Saturday, including meeting a colleague who I hadn't seen for years and he bought one of my pictures. So lovely to catch up and sell!.

Very quiet Sunday - Fathers Day. Did that have anything to do with it? Having said that, I did get to meet some very lovely Art students, who may want to join my workshops. Another first I want to try soon.

Second weekend was busier and overall it was a really enjoyable event. 

The Commission:

How exciting ... to create something new for a client and for specific tastes. Really fun to get a brief and challenging, working through  -

1) creating a much larger felt than I have previously.

2) Finding and staining a frame.

3) Breaking the glass, the day before I was due to hand it over.......
