I will share all of my news and events here. I would like to describe the start of my journey into fibres, yarns and felting.

I have been a teacher of art, design and technology for over 20 years. I specialised in Textiles and have always had a love for fibres, fabrics and all things tactile and textural. This month I attended two felting workshops in York. A wonderful teacher Kat Wood helped me understand felting, truly for the first time.
Although I teach textiles, I have not been able to master all techniques and until these workshops, hadn't mastered felting. I instantly fell in love and became obsessed. This is the very first picture I created. "Three Trees" is inspired by being one of three sisters. What I love most is that each tree is different and the colours are so vibrant.
October 2019:
A great friend suggested I join our local art group - Walton Group of Artists. I applied and 'joy of joys' was accepted. I also had the opportunity to apply for the Artists Around Wetherby Open Studios. Wow, this is exciting and more than a little scary. Both groups are organised and run by highly talented and very organised people.
I really don't think I'm good enough. Thankfully my good friend is holding my hand. I need to produce so much work for the next Open Studios in May 2020. This will focus my mind.
